MEASURE G FOR GOOD GOVERNMENT

Measure G is a ballot initiative that will appear on the November 2024 ballot with the goal of making Los Angeles County work better for its 10 million residents by improving ethics, representation, transparency and accountability. It is a comprehensive governance and ethics reform package for Los Angeles County.

Nurses, Small Businesses, Civil Rights Groups, and Democrats Agree: Vote YES for a more transparent, accountable, and effective L.A. County.

Measure G will NOT cost taxpayers or impact County services.

The measure mandates these reforms be implemented using existing funds from the County’s massive $45 billion budget.

“L.A. County government underrepresents and underserves its people. Measure G on the Nov. 5 ballot would change that. It would expand the Board of Supervisors to nine, shrinking the size of the massive districts and giving county residents a greater voice. It would create an independently elected executive — in effect, a county mayor — who can respond to challenges and crises more quickly than the board. It would for the first time create a county ethics commission….These changes are long overdue. The Times recommends a Yes vote on county Measure G.”

The LA Times agrees:
